Chevron admires and respects the contribution of student advisors to the successful completion of a tractor restoration project by high school students. While we encourage students to learn from, and perform the work themselves, we know that a committed adult advisor contributes a large amount of time and energy to the student’s work.
We believe student advisors are often unsung heros and winners in the minds of students and their families for all they contribute. In 2017 for the first time, we recognized an Advisor of the Year as a result of student nominations. Dillon Bradbury was selected and recognized by Chevron as the 2017 Advisor of the Year with a check for $1,000.
In 2018, Chevron will recognize a new Advisor of the Year. The deadline for Advisor of the Year nomination is September 7, 2018. For more information about this recognition and award, refer to the 2018 Instruction book. This award does not affect the outcome of the competition and is designed to recognize the hard work of student advisors. See official rules in the instruction book for details.
